Description

UltraCarb® 830 and 1240 high activity granular activated carbons are manufactured from selected grades of bituminous coal and activated under rigidly controlled conditions by high temperature steam activation.

UltraCarb carbon is designed to efficiently purify and/or decolorize many aqueous and organic liquids. It is used by the oil refining and gas processing industries in the purification of circulating amine streams, glycol dehydration and gas purification units. It provides excellent adsorption characteristics in slipstream treatment applications.

UltraCarb high-density carbon has a large pore volume and high surface area. Its pore structure has been carefully designed for the adsorption of both high and low molecular weight impurities which are typically found as contaminants in closed loop circulating streams. Its particle size has been selected to give optimum adsorption characteristics and low resistance to flow.
