Description
In normal operation when the sensor detects no leak, the green LED will be illuminated and the 120 VAC grounded outlet powered. An alarm condition is initiated when the sensor probes are immersed in water. The red LED will be illuminated, the audible alarm will sound and the grounded outlet de-energizes, thus closing the shut- off solenoid valve. The device can be reset by shutting off the power or unplugging the device. In a typical application, a normally closed solenoid valve with 120 VAC coil will be installed in the feed water line to the SDI system. Power to the solenoid coil will be supplied by the outlet on the leak detector control module.
In reverse operation when the sensor detects no leak, the green LED will be illuminated and the 120 VAC grounded outlet will not be powered. An alarm condition is initiated when the sensor probes are immersed in water. The red LED will be illuminated, the audible alarm will sound and the grounded outlet energizes providing 120 VAC power during alarm conditions, thus closing the shut-off solenoid valve. The device can be reset by shutting off the power or unplugging the device. In an application requiring reverse operation, a normally open solenoid valve with 120 VAC coil will be installed in the feed water line to the SDI system. Power to the solenoid coil will be supplied by the outlet on the leak detector control module.
