Solids Handling

See All Shutdowns & Turnarounds

Heavy industrial sites often have ponds or lagoons that need dewatering. Whether they are contaminated with inorganic metals and other TOCs or they have other organic or biological solids that need dewatering Evoqua has the capability to clean up ponds or lagoons and bring your water into compliance.

Solids also settle to the bottom of tanks which need to be cleaned before reuse, and on-site wastewater facilities must remain in operation even during maintenance shutdowns. We have mobile solutions to degas the tanks and handle any of the wastewater sludges from tanks or biological solids from the wastewater plants.

Description

What does Evoqua supply for solids handling for shutdowns, turnarounds & outages?

  • Pond & lagoon dewatering
  • Tank bottom cleaning
  • Temporary wastewater sludge dewatering

Oil Refineries, chemical plants, power plants, mining operations and pulp and paper plants and other heavy industrial sites often have ponds or lagoons that are contaminated with heavy metals or other organic or inorganic TSS. To meet cleanup requirements these ponds or lagoons must often be dewatered and the water treated for any contaminants. The effluent must meet discharge requirements and the solids disposed of.

Solids can also settle to the bottom of tanks. These can be chemical holding tanks, or marine-based tankers that must have their settled solids removed prior to reuse. The water used to clean these tanks must be treated, with the solids and contaminants removed before the water can be introduced into the waste stream or waterway.

On-site wastewater treatment plants must continue to function even when under repair. We supply temporary biological wastewater sludge treatment with mobile solutions. Our temporary assets will dewater biological solids when your existing equipment is out of service.
