Low-Dose Sulfide Prevention
Enzaquor™ solution is a low-dose, cost-effective solution that prevents hydrogen sulfide (H2S) generation before it occurs. It is comprised of a blend of non-hazardous, signal blocking compounds which mimic the mechanisms of active biofilm dispersal. This technique is called quorum quenching, which effectively prevents bacteria in the collection system from maintaining the biofilm state.
Enzaquor solution treatment consists of two products: Enzaquor DE and Enzaquor CN solution. Enzaquor DE solution contains cell signaling chemicals (CSCs) designed to induce quenching and thus, dispersal of the biofilm. This accounts for up to a 90% reduction in H2S production. Enzaquor CN solution is an aqueous blend of calcium nitrite which acts as a metabolic inhibitor of sulfate-reducing bacteria, preventing their feeding ability in the remnant biofilm.
Enzaquor solution contains no CERCLA listed hazardous substances. Enzaquor DE solution is exempt from Federal DOT, IMDG, and IATA placard and transporting requirements. It can be stored outdoors in ambient conditions. The Enzaquor DE solution can be supplied in bulk or partial loads as 55-gallon drums or 265-gallon totes.
