Description
When brush rotors in oxidation ditch applications approach their useful life, a prudent upgrade option is to replace them with Evoqua's OX™ Disc Aerators. Existing tanks can be used, and disc aerators allow for improved mixing efficiency, lower energy use, simpler operation, and less maintenance. The non-metallic OX disc aerator s do not deteriorate or corrode like carbon steel brush rotors, the expected life of the system is at least 20 years. In contrast, brush rotors typically last an average of only five to ten years. OX Disc Aerators can: Deliver additional aeration capacity to handle increased influent loading Eliminate dead zones Eliminate splashing that clogs mechnical components Keep equipment cleaner to lengthen service life Provide biological nutrient removal with existing tanks in series operation Reduce energy costs by up to 40 percent in series operation Offer stormflow management capabilities in series operation Eliminate risk of flooding bearings during high-flow events At Evoqua, we have more than 40 years of expertise in both brush rotors and disc aerators. Upgrading your existing brush rotors or replacing with OX disc aerators can add years of life to your system while reducing operating costs. Evoqua is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for Passavant Mammoth brush rotors. We also pioneered the disc aerator in the 1970's.
Features
Oxidation Ditch Treatment Solutions
Orbal® System – Achieves exceptional nutrient removal performance as the most energy efficient, lowest maintenance and safest oxidation ditch available, serving plants with flows up to 15 MGD.
Vertical Loop Reactor (VLR)® System – Accommodates facilities with limited space and reduces oxidation ditch construction costs by using deep tanks (more than 20 ft.) to serve plants with an average flow between 1-40 MGD
VertiCel® System – Reduces oxidation ditch energy costs by about 30 percent by combining disc aerators and course bubble diffusers to serve plants with an average flow between 2-120 MGD
SmartBNR™ Process Control System – Automates nutrient removal and stormflow response for all Evoqua oxidation ditch technologies (Orbal, VLR and VertiCel systems)
